The World We Want Foundation promotes and supports young
global citizens creating positive social change in their communities and around the world.
We built the first niche crowdfunding platform intersecting e-philanthropy and youth education with project-based service learning. Since the official launch of the platform in 2013, we have vetted and established over 85 partnerships with a network of 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations registered in the U.S. working in the field of youth education, leadership and development in over 70 countries. Working with a network of teachers, counselors and talented mentors, we funded over 45 vetted social action projects that addressed socio-economic and environmental challenges young people face in their communities. Since the launch of our platform in 2013, over 45,000 youth have been directly impacted by our programming around the world.
The most important outcome from our programming has been the impact on how young people learn by doing projects that create social good. Through the process of conducting social action projects aligned with educational standards, STEM and National Service Learning, young people gain 21st century skills of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, empathy and kindness–becoming effective leaders and engaged global citizens.
